Atlas, Interrupted
Short form series
SYNOPSIS
The Decisive Moment: Atlas, Interrupted tells the story of Comet 3i/ATLAS, an interstellar traveler flung from its home billions of years ago and now passing briefly through our solar system. As it nears the Sun, the comet begins to glow and fracture—its journey a meditation on exile, transformation, and the longing to be seen. Though it will vanish from sight forever, it leaves behind a trace: a cosmic echo of migration, memory, and survival.
Intergalactic visuals at rapid speed
BBC News came to us to create a three-minute short film about an extraterrestrial Comet, but the VFX would have cost millions, and the project would have taken months to complete.
We used our hybrid-AI/VFX pipeline and our in-house VFX director who worked on Gravity to create beautiful content for TV and social media. The total production time was ten days from the concept to the film airing on BBC News on TV.
